Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about listening with Radyo PH.

Getting started

What is Radyo PH?

Radyo PH is an online radio directory and player that gathers the live webcasts of Philippine radio stations in one place. You can browse stations by network or location, search for a specific call sign or name, and play a station's live stream right in your browser or in our Android app — no radio hardware needed.

Is Radyo PH free?

Yes. Browsing and listening on the website and in the app is free. Some pages and views may show ads to keep the service running; these are separate from whatever a station broadcasts inside its own stream.

How do I start listening?

Open the Discover page and tap the play button on any station, or open a station page and press play. The player at the bottom of the page keeps playing while you browse the site, so your audio is not interrupted as you move between stations, networks, locations, and search results.

Do I need an account to listen?

No. Anyone can browse and listen without an account. An account is only needed for features such as saving favorites that follow you across devices and for certain contributions like submitting a station.

Stations and availability

Why is a station I used to see no longer available?

Radyo PH plays each station's own public internet stream, so a listing depends entirely on that station keeping its stream up. A station usually disappears because of one of the following:

  • The station stopped webcasting or is temporarily off the air.
  • The station changed its stream address, and the old link no longer works.
  • The stream became unreachable or moved behind a restriction, so it could no longer be played reliably.
  • The listing was removed because the station is no longer broadcasting in a way we can relay.

If a station you enjoy is missing, check the station's own website or social pages for its current stream link. If you have the correct stream address, you can submit it so we can review and restore the listing.

Why do I hear ads — even the same ads — every time I play certain stations?

Any audio advertisements you hear inside a station come from that station's own broadcast, not from Radyo PH. Stations — and the ad networks or plug-in ad services they use — insert their own commercials, jingles, and promos directly into their stream. Because Radyo PH relays each stream exactly as it is broadcast, those ads play along with the music.

That is why certain stations sound the same ad repeatedly at the top of every hour or before every track: the ad is placed in the station's own signal. Radyo PH does not insert, replace, or remove a station's in-stream audio. If you would like fewer in-stream ads, choose a station that broadcasts fewer. Display ads you might see on the website or in the app are a separate matter and are placed by the website itself.

Why do some stations have poor sound quality — glitches, skipping, or noise?

Radyo PH plays a station's stream as it is delivered and does not re-encode or "upgrade" it. If a station sounds rough, the cause is usually one of the following:

  • Low bitrate. Some stations broadcast in a low-quality, low-bandwidth format. Radyo PH cannot make that sound better than the station sends it.
  • Your connection. Skipping, buffering, and drops are often caused by an unstable or slow internet connection, or by a busy network path between you and the station's server.
  • The station's own source. Background noise, hum, or compression can come from the station's microphone, phone line, or upstream equipment.
  • Overloaded streams. A station's stream can stutter when many listeners join at once or when the station's server is struggling.

If a stream keeps glitching for you, try closing other tabs, moving closer to your router, switching to a more stable connection, or refreshing the player. If a station consistently sounds broken for everyone, you can report it and we will review the stream.

Can I add a station, or fix or update a station that is already listed?

Yes — you can help grow and keep our directory accurate.

  • To list a new station: click the Submit a Station (+) button in the header, or open the submission form. Choose the station type (FM, AM, or Online), enter its name, frequency, location, and the station's public stream URL. The form checks that the stream URL actually works before you send it.
  • To modify or correct an existing listing (e.g. a changed stream URL, frequency, or name): log in and use the Support feature from your profile, or reach us through the contact email in the footer. Tell us which station and what should change. We review submissions so we can keep the live data accurate.

Only station owners or people with the correct, current details should submit changes so we avoid adding wrong or broken links.

Your account, favorites, and listening history

How do I register?

Click the account/login icon in the top-right corner, then choose Register. Enter your details and confirm your email. Registration is free, and you can browse and listen before and after signing up.

How do I add or remove a station from my favorites?

  • Open the station you like and tap the heart button on its page (or the heart in the player). A filled heart means it is saved; tapping it again removes it.
  • To add from a list, use the same heart button shown on station cards throughout the site.
  • Your favorites live under the Favorites menu, where you can reorder or remove them.

Favorites are linked to your account, so they stay in sync across the website and our Android app when you are logged in on the same account.

How do I see what I have been listening to?

Your recently played stations are saved under the Last Played menu, so you can quickly jump back to a station you heard earlier.

Can I listen on my phone?

Yes. You can listen in any mobile browser, and we also offer the Radyo PH Android app for a dedicated listening experience with your favorites and account synced.

Still stuck?

If you did not find an answer here, contact us through the support chat in your profile (once logged in) or by email at the address shown in the footer, and we will be happy to help.
