Station Description
The station began broadcasting on July 1, 1946, as KZMB, originally operating on the AM band at 760 kHz. It adopted the DZMB call sign in 1948 as Philippine stations changed their identifying prefix from “K” to “D.” On February 14, 1975, it moved to FM and developed an easy-listening format associated with its “Beautiful Music” identity. The Love Radio name followed in the 1980s.
A major change came on February 14, 2000, when the station relaunched with a broader entertainment format aimed at a mass audience. Music remained central, while humor, lively presenters, and relatable discussions became defining features. Its “Kabisyo” identity helped build a listening community around the station’s personalities and programs.
Among its best-known broadcasting partnerships was Nicole Hyala and Chris Tsuper, whose Tambalan entertained listeners for two decades. Their partnership concluded in October 2024 when Chris departed the station. Nicole remains part of Love Radio’s current lineup, which also includes Raqi Terra, Conyo Bicolano, Tanya Chinita, Diego Bandido, Angkol Dagol, Mara Tonee, Kim Chino, and Titan Gelo.
Featured programs include Tambalan and Kwento ng Mahiwagang Burnay, Dear Love, and Raqi Terra’s Secret Files and Top Secrets. These programs bring listener stories, humor, relationship discussions, and emotional storytelling into the broadcast. Weekend offerings include Love Radio Hitlist, Dear LOVE: FourPlay, and Secret Files Flashback.
