Its oldies format remains a central part of its identity, alongside programs covering current affairs and practical information. The station is operated by Interactive Broadcast Media, Inc.
The station’s history traces back to DZBM 740, established in 1963 by Mareco Broadcasting Network. Its early broadcasts helped promote recordings distributed by Mareco, establishing a musical heritage that continues in its present format. In 1978, the station moved to 774 kHz as Philippine AM broadcasting adopted nine-kilohertz channel spacing. The DWWW 774 identity launched on October 31, 1996, under the management of Rene Palma and Roberto “Bert” Bacsal.
A major revamp followed in 2011. The station relaunched on November 2 with the “Music of Your Life” identity, expanded to round-the-clock broadcasting, and reorganized its music library. Its combination of news, public affairs, and extensive music programming became a defining feature of the station.
Its terrestrial coverage expanded on July 1, 2024, with a relay through DWHT 107.9 FM in Dagupan. An important historical distinction is that today’s DWWW 774 is separate from the former DWWW on 630 AM, whose frequency returned to ABS-CBN and became DZMM in 1986.
